"Applied theorists of all departments, UNITE!"
Applied Theory Reading Group (ATRG) is a "joint venture" among Ph.D. students in the Rotman School of Management and Economics Department at the University of Toronto that I initiated in January 2017, and is supervised by the Economic Analysis & Policy faculty. The purpose of this reading group is to bring together Ph.D. students and faculty members from different disciplines whose research makes use of similar theoretical tools in economics.
The meetings are typically held once every two weeks. It has been paused for a long time during the Covid-19 periods and resumed on February 2021 with online meetings. Members of ATRG are obligated to present applied theory papers in the frontier of research or their own work in turn. People who are interested in receiving notification of this reading group can contact the current organizers. I do not know who they are and even if the reading group is still functional now - try send emails to applied theorists at Rotman : )
Please be aware that no cookies, sandwiches, salads, coffee, beers, or printed papers will be provided. Please feel free to bring your own and share with others.
This page will not be updated as I have graduated from U of T. The organizer is gone, long live the organizer!
